The plot stars three individuals from the Oceania Cooperative Union (OCU), who are caught in the middle of a coup attempt by the Alordeshi Armed Forces. Its story takes place 12 years after Front Mission, in the fictional South Asian nation of Alordesh. Front Mission 2 expands on the mechanics of the original SNES-based Front Mission, and is centered around turn-based tactical battles between squads of walking mecha called Wanzers.
